Special Edition 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Spotlight
For the 2022 model year, the high-performance Chevrolet Corvette Stingray arrives with a special edition, new spoiler options, and new exterior colors. The special edition is called the 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition, and it celebrates Corvette Racing’s hallmark year in 2020.
“Racing has been part of the Corvette DNA from nearly the beginning,” remarked Laura Klauser, General Motors Sports Car Program manager. “Both the Corvette Stingray and C8.R have seen tremendous success capitalizing on the benefits of a mid-engine platform – and we’re just getting started.”
Only 1,000 of these special edition models will be produced. This special Corvette is based on the 3LT trim with a Z51 Performance Package. In addition, the special editions get a Corvette Racing-themed graphics package: the Hypersonic Gray No. 4 editions will get yellow accents while the Accelerate Yellow No. 3 editions will boast gray graphics.
On the outside, the 2022 Corvette Special Edition boasts black side rockers, splash guards, yellow brake calipers, Black Trident design wheels, exterior mirrors in Carbon Flash, and a high-wing spoiler also in Carbon Flash. On the inside, the yellow and gray theme continues with a Strike Yellow and Sky Cool Gray cabin.
This package starts at just $6,595 above the retail price for the Corvette model.
Other new features for the 2022 Corvette, available here in Mission, Texas, include a new low-profile rear spoiler and three new exterior color options: Caffeine, Hypersonic Gray, and Amplify Orange Tintcoat.
